3…2…1… HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Updated: Jan 2, 2020

This morning as we prize our eyes open and slowly reach for the water to clear our cloudy heads, we open up our familiar social media apps to be flooded with party selfies, hungover statuses and then of course the emotional proposal photos of the shimmering diamond ring or the grins a mile wide.

This is why we love this time of year. Not because our business relies on weddings, but because proposals are always centred around the most ‘perfect’ moment. The infectious happiness that is shared at Christmas and New Years is unrivalled, and the love between family and friends is priceless – this is the reason we absolutely love it and the reason why it’s such a popular time for engagements.

And as we squint at our bright phone screens to write our congratulations to the happy couples, we can’t help but reminisce over the eventful few months we ourselves have had and smile at what is yet to come.

Last night’s 1920’s themed party, filled with glitz and glamour (and a lot of bubbles), saw the end of a fantastic year for Confetti Designs; We worked with over 80 couples to help make their wedding perfect, our Vintage collection was featured in the infamous TATLER magazine, we bought a beautiful antique letter press called Pearl and Lydia expanded her team of 1 to bring Amy to the fold.

Opening your own business up to somebody else can be very daunting for small business owners, especially when you’ve been a ‘one man band’ for so long and you’ve put your blood, sweat and tears into it. But like any partnership, romantic or business, it takes work, trust and communication – I mean it does help that we have very similar taste and have been life-long family friends!

And speaking of partnerships, 2020 has a lot in store for Confetti Designs too; we are going to be launching an exciting collaboration with World Land Trust (WLT) to help do our bit to restore forests that have been lost to deforestation.

Thank you to all those who have supported us in 2019 and we look forward to working with more of you in the new year. If you were lucky enough to get engaged this festive period then we would love to hear your story and help make your day so special!

Now Coffee…

Happy new year everyone!
